Sandhurst Community Capital Renews Support for CARH Scholarship Fund in 2024

APRIL 2024 – Clearwater, FL – Sandhurst Community Capital is proud to announce its continued support of the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH) Scholarship Fund with a donation in 2024.

The CARH Scholarship Foundation provides college scholarships to exceptional students who reside in CARH-member properties—affordable rural housing communities across the United States. Since its founding in 2005, the Foundation has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to help students pursue undergraduate, vocational, or graduate education.

Each scholarship recipient receives $2,000 per semester for up to eight semesters, helping reduce financial barriers for talented students in rural communities. Sandhurst Community Capital is honored to contribute to this mission of expanding educational opportunities, regardless of geographic or economic limitations.

APRIL, 2023 – Clearwater FL – Sandhurst Community Capital is pleased to announce a donation of $15,000 to the 2023 CARH Scholarship Fund.

Sandhurst Community Capital’s mission is to promote affordable housing and the tenants living in these multifamily apartments. The Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH) is a national non-profit trade organization serving the rural housing industry across the United States.  The CARH Scholarship Foundation provides college scholarships to exceptional students who reside in CARH-member properties. 

Alex Holverson, Midwest Regional Director for Churchill Stateside Group, and CARH Board Member, was pleased to make the announcement of Sandhurst Community Capital’s donation at the CARH Mid-Year Meeting in January of this year.

“We are proud to support the CARH Scholarship Fund and the important work they are doing to help students achieve their dreams of higher education,” said Holverson. “We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams, regardless of their financial circumstances. This scholarship fund will help make that possible for many deserving students.”

The CARH Scholarship Foundation was established in 2005 and the fund is supported by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

“We are grateful to Sandhurst Community Capital for their generous donation to the CARH Scholarship Fund,” said CARH board member David Dodson. “This donation will help us continue to provide much-needed financial assistance to students who are pursuing higher education.”

The CARH Scholarship Fund has awarded over $1 million in scholarships to students since its inception.
